FIBERGLASS GELCOAT

ISLAND GIRL® Cleanser/Conditioners (SEA GLOW™ and NEUTRAL CLEAR™ remove oxidation and stains, not only from the surface, but also from deep down in the chalk-filled pores.  ELIXIR™is especially effective in preventing color fade and return of oxidations.  ISLAND GIRL PRODUCTS  ARE IDEAL FOR PRESERVING , EVEN ENHANCING THE APPEARANCE OF NEW BOATS and other items, as seen here.

The older "3 Step Process":

Our Cleanser/Conditioners (SEA GLOW™,  NEUTRAL CLEAR™) are used to remove oxidation and impregrate the pores with a preservative conditioner  Then, a surface coating of SILKENSEAL™ is applied to seal conditioner ino the gelcoat and to prevent it rising up and interfering with set up with an outer protective, and shiny coating of  SIMPLY BRILLIANT Superwax. (a resin coating containing wax particles). For even more protection and protection against sooty stains, and additional coating of MIRROR HARD Superglaze™ can be applied. Areas under aluminum fittings often show grey run off stains. These can be prevented by applying a coat of SILKENSEAL™ to the appropriate areas. You should expect water beading for up to  3 years,  shine (without need for touch up) of 3-6 months (depending upon underlying color - white is less susceptible to UV). SILKENSEAL™ can be used for  periodic "quick shine" touch up.

Step 1: Use ELIXIR™ to remove oxidation with unparalled preservation agains color fade and oxidation (especially important on dark colors). The surface self-seals to a resin/wax coating ( SB Superwax™ is incorporated into the  ELIXIR™ formula).

Step 2: Apply an outer coating of  MIRROR HARD Superglaze™ for  astounding shine and extra weatherproof protection. A good example is shown below:

Cleaning and Protection of "NON-SKID" Surfaces:

Our NON-SKID SEALANT™ seals the surface without reducing underfoot grip under wet conditions. First use Island Girl PINK™ for cleaning, stain removal and removal of surface oxidation.   The Cleanser/Conditioners  (SEA GLOW™ or NEUTRAL CLEAR™ , depending upon gelcoat color) can first be used to brighten and preserve the gelcoat.  ELIXIR™ can also be used for this purpose (see Online Instruction Book for details).
