TOUGH &
SHINY BARRIER TO WEATHERING, OXIDATION & CORROSION. ONE WIPE
CAN CLEAN, SEAL & PROTECT!

AVOIDS use of Damaging
Abrasives.

System and sealed by SIMPLY BRILLIANT Superwax™]

One way to test for depth of shine is to see depth of
reflective field
(often done with a ruler). The old dulled paintwok on the left
was
made fresh, new and shiny by wiping over with MH
SUPERGLAZE™
about 4 months earlier. The area was wiped over with a microfiber cloth
just before photographing.
· CHROME, POLISHED METAL,
ANODIZED ALUMINUM

These are photographs of the rear bumper of my 1960 Cadillac. The "new"
chrome on the bumper was of poor quality (the original 1960 bumper on
the
front has stayed good) and the bumper has rusted in Hawaiian salty
air.Very
little rust has returned after 3 months.
Heat resistant can be used on
engine parts
& more
I have it on the new dstributor and alternator of my 1966
Pontiac GTO.
The usual "dusty" aluminum corrosion has not returned.
· MOST HARD & MANY
FLEXIBLE PLASTICS
[see below]
We have tested a coating of MH SUPERGLAZE™ for
five months on half of a white vinyl cowel ("dorade") vent
that had been restored and sealed in the usual way (SEA
GLOW™ then sealed with SILKENSEAL™ ).
There
was no sign of gum returning, and the finish was hard and still beaded
water.

HOW TO USE THIS
PRODUCT
GENERAL:
·Use in warm (above 60o
F, 16oC
), dry weather or in a protected space. Surfaces MUST be
clean,
dry & metal surfaces free of corrosion. If the surface is
clean,
previous wax removal is not necessary.
· To clean surface, wash with water-diluted ISLAND
GIRL Pink™
Cleanser. Water-rinse & then dry.
· On dull or chalky paintwork, use MH
SUPERGLAZE™ to
remove oxidation in addition to sealing the surface.
· Shake the Bottle. Then apply a THIN COAT of MH
SUPERGLAZE™
using white paper towel, which can also be used to remove excess
coating
thickness. Once preliminary curing has occurred (less than one
hour)
dragging a microfiber cloth over the surface will remove any excess
from
overlap marks, runs etc. Remaining minor surface oiliness dissipates or
is removed by microfiber cloth. Maintain shine by spritzing with
water or (better) SILKENSEAL™ , then wiping over with microfiber
cloth. Use water-diluted ISLAND GIRL Pink™ for heavy duty
cleansing.
FIBERGLASS GELCOAT:
NEW OR WELL MAINTAINED GELCOAT:
· If the surface is clean & dry, apply MH
SUPERGLAZE™
directly.
· If the surface is dirty, then clean it with ISLAND
GIRL
Pink™ Cleanser, either with water dilution (light cleaning) or
undiluted.
Then water-rinse, & towel dry, before applying MH SUPERGLAZE™
OLDER CHALKY AND/OR POROUS GELCOAT:
· If surface is at all chalky or porous MH
SUPERGLAZE™ will
“soak in” and the surface will have dull patches. Restore gelcoat with
our products (Cleanser/Conditioners then SB Superwax)see www.
before
using MH SUPERGLAZE™ . We do not yet know whether MH SUPERGLAZE™
can be used over acrylic restorer finishes, but it probably could since
it works on paintwork.
PAINTED SURFACES .
· Apply a thin coat of MH SUPERGLAZE™ to a
clean &
sound surface as described under “GENERAL”.
· If there is light oxidation, use MH SUPERGLAZE™ to
remove
oxidation until color transfer from the oxidized surface is diminished.
Then smooth over to reduce film thickness & allow surface to cure.
MH SUPERGLAZE™ melts the partially broken down paint, bonding it with
the
Superglazed finish.
· If there is heavy oxidation/staining, but the
underlying
surface appears sound, rub carefully with ISLAND GIRL Pink™ on white
paper
towel to remove oxidation & then immediately inactivate with water.
Do this very quickly & carefully to avoid damage to single- part
painted
surfaces*. Use abrasive compounding only on excessively rough
&
oxidized surfaces.
· New two- part urethane coatings (Awlgrip®
Imron®
etc.) usually do not require waxing. However, use ISLAND GIRL Pink™ to
remove scuff-marks, bugs or tar. Then use MH SUPERGLAZE™ to restore
shine.
Our SILKENSEAL™ can also be also be used for routine shine &
protection
without damage to the finish.
*To test whether paint is two-part (hardened with catalyst)
or single-part,
rub with a little undiluted ISLAND GIRL Pink™ on white paper towel.
Color
transfer indicates single part paint. Then immediately apply water
SANDBLASTED, PLATED, POLISHED OR
ANODIZED METAL:
· Remove any rust or corrosion as appropriate with
chemicals
and/or polish (see www.IslandGirlProducts.com for
recommendations).
This is particularly important with chrome or stainless. Then
water-rinse,
dry thoroughly & apply MH SUPERGLAZE™ as described above in
“GENERAL”.
HARD, SEMI-RIGID & SOME
FLEXIBLE PLASTICS:
· Use MH SUPERGLAZE™ for additional shine
&
protection on ABS, hypalon, vinyl & more ( e.g. trim & stripes,
vinyl vents & fenders ). Apply after cleaning with our
Cleanser/Conditioners
(SEA GLOW™ or NEUTRAL CLEAR™Clanser/Conditioner) & sealing with
SILKENSEAL™
as usual.
